“LOKE”: THE NEW PLATFORM OPENING THE WAY TO A NEW GENERATION OF CREATIVES CELEBRATES ITS FOUNDATION WITH A RANGE OF PROJECTS LEADING UP TO A BIG FINAL EVENT

Milan, 18 May 2020 – LOKE is a fashion talent scouting project celebrating its foundation with a series of initiatives dedicated to promoting creativity in fashion and design.

Born in 2020 from a Team creative project, LOKE is currently developing on Instagram @lokenewtalent, and from September this year will be running a competition in anticipation of a big final event planned for early 2021.

LOKE is a World Directory developed to support the new generation of designers, aiming to become a fundamental point of reference for creatives and talent scouts the world over.

This is the driving force behind Team Creative’s ongoing search for a new generation of creatives in totally unexplored territory, through tutorials on themes shared on Instagram @lokenewtalent, held about once a fortnight.

Over the 14 weeks planned for the project, everyone involved, including followers, are invited to develop a creation and share a photo of it on our social platform.

Each photo should be posted on their Instagram profile with the following tags:

TAG @lokenewtalent, #lokenewtalent, HASHTAG #lokenewtalent, while any stories should have the @lokenewtalent TAG.

Through interactions on the platform with sector professionals, over the project period LOKE aims to present all the latest aesthetic and social trends in fashion and design: sustainability in all its forms, the return of crafts and forgotten trades, the new anthropologic ethnic, the variegation of inclusive beauty, the fluidity of gender and the new openness to all ages and generations.

The heart and soul of LOKE is its team of professionals, dedicated in this first year of the project’s life to searching for talent on the web, on the social networks, in schools of fashion and at the world’s most innovative fashion weeks, on a never-ending voyage to discover the purest, most authentic creativity, from Europe to the Americas, Africa, India, the Middle and the Far East.

In the words of one of its founders: “LOKE is born to nurture a new generation of creatives at a time when few truly believe in talent. It has neither borders nor barriers, and searches the entire world because talent is everywhere! Our mission from now on is to take responsibility and be a true example of how the world has to change.”

The unique vision of this philosophy gives LOKE the form and the foundation for it to become an international point of reference for emerging fashion in every possible form, not just through the social media, but by facilitating the meeting between talent and the world of work.

This ongoing dialogue between traditional and digital publishing, printed media and social media, events and competitions, creative vision and enterprise will certainly give rise to an infinity of collaborations between creatives and fashion/design brands.

LOKE is a Talent Lab, the natural consequence of a constant commitment to scouting.

The list of names and brands invited by LOKE to take part in inspiring and sustaining the professional dreams of future talent is very long, many of them featuring in motivational videos on the @lokenewtalent Instagram account.

Every month, the LOKE website will tell the success story of a talent discovered by Team LOKE. As from September, LOKE will be launching “ORIGINS”, an invitation to designers and stylists, whether academically qualified or self-taught, and anyone who’s made a collection that’s been produced or made no more than two collections but are unable to carry on for financial reasons, to compete to take part in a prize gala event.
