MAISONS & HOTELS SIBUET – 30 YEARS OF UNEQUALLED HOSPITALITY

30 years of special moments, 30 years serving guests in a cosy and authentic setting, 30 years making sure that everyone who enters Les Fermes de Marie leaves with unforgettable memories.

LES FERMES DE MARIE

Les Fermes de Marie are celebrating their 30th anniversary!  Throughout the last three decades this authentic “Megévan” establishment has kept up with the times whilst retaining all those details that make people come back again and again. Three decades focusing on three essential elements: well-being, good taste and good food.

Set in the shadow of the famous Mont Blanc, you’ll find a five-star hotel boasting 70 rooms and suites which draw inspiration from the alpine surroundings with fine wood panelling and Savoyard-period furniture. There is also a choice of restaurants offering different cuisines and styles, a wonderful spa with a range of products made with natural mountain essences and a ski shop. Finally, the private chalets benefit from all the resort’s luxury services whilst providing a little more privacy. The refined and cosy interior decor, along with the warm welcome, will instantly make you feel comfortable.

After a day on the slopes there is nothing more pleasant than a sweet homemade pastry and a warm drink by the fire place, or you can simply sit down to relax with a book in the elegant library. For an aperitif, you should head to the bar where you can share a delicious platter before your dinner. After such a busy day you’ll be looking forward to getting back to your room to enjoy some peace and quiet before falling into a deep sleep in your inviting bed.

Les Fermes de Marie welcomes children too with their “kid’s concierge” during French school holidays and the “Hameau des Enfants”, or kids’ club, is all year round. For dinner, they can choose to eat with their parents or sit at the fun children’s table with the other kids. The bedrooms and chalets are designed with families in mind too and there’s even a gift for them upon arrival. You’ll be able to share some quality time with those you love most

For 30 years the Fermes de Marie has been seamlessly mixing authenticity with luxury to create an exclusive experience for their guests. In the midst of winter, when the rooftops and grounds are covered with snow, there’s nowhere more magical to lose yourself. An oasis of tranquillity, with some of Europe’s finest ski slopes on your doorstep.

SPA PURE ALTITUDE

For the 30th anniversary of Les Fermes de Marie the Pure Altitude Spa has freshened up. Each of its areas has been decorated with nature as the inspiration, using fine materials from the local region that instantly bring to mind the beauty of the mountains.

The cabins each have their own style: herbs and flowers for one, tree trunks and animal skins for another and Himalayan salt for a third. After your treatment you can take a break in the relaxation room with its soft lighting, comfortable loungers and gentle music.

Many other services await you such as the sauna, hammam, indoor and outdoor jacuzzies, gym, swimming pool, the Leonor Greyl hairdressing salon and, starting this winter, you can also pay a visit to the manicure and pedicure cabin. Finally, be sure to try the Pure Altitude Spa products that are packed full of alpine plants.

L’EPICERIE DES FERMES

The iconic “Epicerie des 5 Rues” grocery shop was founded by the Roc family in 1944, and the Sibuet family have decided to continue in their footsteps. Opening in December under the new name of Epicerie des Fermes, it offers the best French, Italian and of course Savoyard products.

You’ll find a deli counter with cold cuts and cheeses as well as general grocery products, fruit and veg and a wine cellar. You’ll also find hallmark products from the Fermes de Marie: the famous “Pâté Bourgeois”, gravlax salmon, the alpine lake fish soup and the mountain honey from their hives to name but a few. L’Epicerie des Fermes also has a delivery service so you can enjoy all their specialities without having to leave your room, or they’ll even deliver before your arrival so that everything is ready in your chalet when you arrive. Now that’s service!

HOTEL MONT-BLANC

Hôtel Mont-Blanc in Megève is one of the French Alps’ most iconic addresses. Megève was very popular with fashionable Parisians in the 1950’s and artist Jean Cocteau famously referred to it as the “21st arrondissement of Paris.”

Facing the mountain from which it takes its name, it seems only fitting that this alpine institution is found in the heart of the village. The ski-lifts are on its doorstep, as are the luxury boutiques and pretty pedestrian streets that continue to attract a chic crowd to the resort.

Here, classic chalet design meets haute couture to create a luxurious setting, whilst wood panelling and warm tones add to the snug surroundings. Be sure to try the oysters and fine champagnes and discover the “White as Snow” treatment at the Igloo Spa.

LODGE PARK

A chic and rustic bolthole in the heart of Megève, Lodge Park evokes the spirit of the finest country clubs.

With log walls, open fires, chesterfield sofas, tartan patterns and hunting trophies adorning the walls, inside Lodge Park it’s easy to feel as if you’ve escaped to a luxurious cabin nestled deep in the woods. Step outside, however, and you’ll realise you’re in the heart of Megève and the village’s magical cobbled pedestrian streets, as well as the ski-lifts, are on your doorstep. The Pure Altitude Spa offers a cocoon of quiet relaxation and reflection with its sauna, steam room, pool, Jacuzzi and treatment rooms.

During your visit you absolutely must try one of the legendary Megève après-ski drinks at the bar, sample the rib of beef in the trendy trapper atmosphere of the restaurant and try luminotherapy at the Pure Altitude Spa.

ALTAPURA

Thanks to its ideal location at the summit of the “3 Valleys”, Altapura gives you access to the largest ski area in the world.

Just like the finest palaces in the world, Altapura combines an incredible setting with a grand design. Here, at the top of the French Alps, the mountain views are 360° and that sense of space and freedom flows through to the interior of this luxury resort, with high ceilings, warm tones, wood and stone Nordic design features, and the bright white and blue of snow-covered alps and brilliant sky visible through every window.

Make sure you taste the classic fondue at La Laiterie and sit on the sunny terrace at the 2.Mille.3 for an al fresco lunch. The Nordic Spiral at the spa is also not to be missed.
