Someone else who knows about going the extra mile is Monegasque freediver Pierre Frolla, who is travelling to Mauritius this year for the production of his upcoming book, The Heart of the Ocean, with the support of Monte Carlo Travel.
A triple world record holder in free immersion, Frolla aims to capture the magic of what he sees when freediving, captured in beautiful images by underwater photographer Gregory Lecoeur.
The large format photobook will include short, poetic quotes from novelist Christophe Ferre and will emphasise the beauty of the ocean, and just why we need to work together to save it. Profits from the book (due to be released autumn 2021) will be donated to the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.
My biggest fear? Living in a world where there would be no more sharks in the oceans …
